PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

I’m Dr. Grayson Wheatley, a triple-board certified Cardiovascular Surgeon, who specializes in caring for patients with aortic diseases including aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections and aortic valve diseases as well as all other types of open heart surgery.  I offer comprehensive treatments for aortic disease including open heart surgery and open aortic aneurysm surgery along with newer minimally-invasive endovascular stent-grafting of aortic aneurysms and aortic dissections.

I began my career in Phoenix, Arizona at the world-famous Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital. I spent 10 years working with Dr. Edward B. Diethrich who is universally recognized as being responsible for pioneering many of the endovascular aortic procedures we use today.

Previously, I was Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Aortic and Endovascular Surgery Programs and Surgical Director of the TAVR program at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am committed to education, and have personally trained over 30 surgeons and countless medical students, in addition to giving lectures about aortic surgery to physicians all over the world.

My treatment philosophy is simple. Because I offer both endovascular and open surgery of the entire aorta (thoracic/chest and abdominal/stomach), I can customize the necessary treatment for each patient and make a balanced and thoughtful recommendation about the best treatment option for you.  In addition, as an internationally-recognized leader in aortic procedures, I can offer cutting-edge surgical and interventional options that few medical centers can provide.  I am also involved in new clinical research trials which allows me to offer new treatments, oftentimes before they are approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Feel free to call us to request a consultation or send us an email with your comments and I will get back to you.
