Dr. Wheatley serves as a principal investigator for a number of actively enrolling clinical research trials.


All of these trials have been approved by an Investigational Review Board and are listed on the website clinicaltrials.gov.  We follow the ethical treatment of human research protocls and have a full-time dedicated research coordinator who helps patients learn more about the clinical reserach trial process.


Dr. Wheatley's research interests include clincial outcomes regarding minimally-invasive heart surgery procedures, innovative endovascular technologies for the treatment of aortic diseases including aortic stent-grafts, transcatheter aortic valve procedures (TAVR) procedures.
